This Tasty Boursin Brussels Sprouts recipe features tender roasted Brussels sprouts baked with creamy, garlicky Boursin cheese and finished with a drizzle of spicy honey for a perfect balance of savory and sweet.

Ingredients

Scale

Vegetables

  • 1 pound Brussels sprouts

Dairy

  • 5.2 ounces Boursin cheese

Oils and Seasonings

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt (such as Lawry’s)

Other

  • 1 tablespoon spicy honey

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Brussels Sprouts: Trim the bottom stem area off each Brussels sprout and then cut them in half. Set the halved sprouts aside.
  2. Preheat the Oven and Prepare the Baking Dish: Preheat your oven to 400°F (204°C). Select a 13×9 inch baking dish, preferably ceramic or cast iron, to prevent sticking. In a bowl, combine the Boursin cheese and olive oil, mixing until smooth. Spread this cheese mixture evenly across the bottom of the baking dish.
  3. Arrange Brussels Sprouts in the Dish: Press each halved Brussels sprout firmly into the Boursin and olive oil mixture in the dish. Arrange them either randomly or in neat rows according to your preference. Drizzle a little olive oil over the sprouts, using a basting brush to spread the oil evenly. Sprinkle seasoned salt evenly over the top to enhance flavor.
  4. Bake and Finish: Place the baking dish in the oven and bake for 28 to 30 minutes until the Brussels sprouts are tender and have developed a slightly crispy exterior. Once done, remove the dish from the oven and allow it to rest for 5 to 10 minutes without disturbance. Immediately before serving, drizzle the spicy honey over the Brussels sprouts to add a sweet and spicy finish. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • Using a ceramic or cast iron baking dish helps prevent the cheese from sticking during baking.
  • Adjust the spicy honey amount according to your preference for sweetness and heat.
  • For extra crispiness, you can broil the Brussels sprouts for an additional 1-2 minutes after baking, watching carefully to prevent burning.
  • Seasoned salt can be replaced with regular salt and a pinch of black pepper if unavailable.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheated gently.
