Ingredients

Scale

Sesame Seeds

  • 2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds

Dressing

  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 12 teaspoons rice vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 2 teaspoons toasted sesame oil

Instructions

  1. Crush Sesame Seeds: Use a pestle and mortar to crush and grind the toasted sesame seeds. It’s okay to leave some seeds partially intact for texture.
  2. Combine Ingredients: In a mixing bowl, add the crushed sesame seeds, mayonnaise, rice vinegar, soy sauce, and honey. Stir well to combine all the ingredients evenly.
  3. Add Sesame Oil: Drizzle in the toasted sesame oil and stir again until the dressing is well blended.
  4. Adjust Taste and Consistency: Taste the dressing and adjust the flavors as you like by adding more rice vinegar, soy sauce, or honey. To thin out the dressing, add 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of water until your desired consistency is reached.

Notes

  • Use toasted sesame seeds and oil for a richer, nuttier flavor.
  • Adjust the sweetness and acidity according to your preference by varying the honey and rice vinegar quantities.
  • If you want a smoother dressing, you can blend the ingredients briefly instead of stirring.
  • This dressing can be stored in the refrigerator for up to one week in an airtight container.
