Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dough: In a large bowl, combine warm milk and sugar. Sprinkle the active dry yeast over the surface and let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy, indicating the yeast is activated. Then add the melted butter, eggs, and salt. Gradually mix in the all-purpose flour, starting with 4 cups and adding more as needed, until a soft, slightly sticky dough forms.
  2. Knead the Dough: Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover it with a clean towel or plastic wrap. Let it rise in a warm place for 1 to 1.5 hours, or until it has doubled in size.
  3. Prepare the Filling: In a small bowl, mix the softened unsalted butter with the minced garlic, chopped fresh parsley, salt, and pepper. Stir until the mixture is well combined and fragrant.
  4. Shape the Rolls: Once the dough has risen, punch it down to release the air. Roll the dough out on a floured surface into a rectangle approximately 12 inches by 18 inches. Spread the garlic butter filling evenly over the surface of the dough. Starting from the long edge, roll the dough tightly into a log shape. Cut the log into 12 equal slices to form individual rolls.
