Ingredients

Scale

Pizza Dough

  • 1 cup nonfat plain Greek yogurt (0% fat)
  • 1 cup self-rising flour (plus extra for dusting)

Toppings (optional)

  • 1/3 cup tomato sauce (or more, to taste)
  • Cheese of choice (mozzarella recommended)
  • Additional desired pizza toppings (pepperoni, vegetables, herbs, etc.)

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Mix: Preheat the oven to 400°F (about 200°C). In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of nonfat plain Greek yogurt with 1 cup of self-rising flour. Stir together until the mixture is mostly homogeneous and forms a rough dough.
  2. Knead the Dough: Transfer the dough onto a lightly floured surface. Using your hands, knead the dough gently just until it comes together into a ball. This should take about 2-4 minutes. Avoid over-kneading to keep the dough tender.
  3. Shape the Crust: For one large pizza, roll the dough out with a rolling pin into a 10-inch round. For two personal pizzas, divide the dough in half and roll each portion into approximately 5-inch rounds. Place the shaped dough onto pizza pans lined with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
  4. Add Toppings: Spread about 1/3 cup of your favorite tomato sauce evenly over the crust(s). Add your preferred amount of cheese and any other toppings you desire.
  5. Bake: Place the prepared pizzas in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes. Bake until the crust edges are golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Notes

  • If you do not have self-rising flour, make your own by combining 1 cup all-purpose flour with 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder and 1/4 teaspoon salt.
  • The dough can be sticky; use extra flour for dusting your surface and hands.
  • Customize toppings as you like, including vegetables, meats, or herbs.
  • For a crispier crust, bake the pizza directly on a preheated pizza stone or steel.
  • This dough is best used immediately but can be refrigerated for up to 1 day before baking.
